Views 12,400,807

This is what VR grew off the back of. Roller Coasters in Apps and Video. This is a very big and very scary Roller Coaster but unfortunately for me I cannot get through the video. Motion sickness gets hold of me pretty quickly here! Worth a go to see if the same happens to you.

  1. The Conjuring 2 – Experience Enfield VR 360 [HD]

Views 5,847,118

  1. 360 | Five Nights at Freddy’s

Views 5,581,305

This is a long creepy and scary video. I have to say that you spend a lot of time spinning around in this searching for clues of what is in the house or about to appear. As I mentioned above, I do not do well with scary type of material so I was glad when this baby was over.

VR Noir A choose your own adventure Interactive Movie

VR Noir

We all remember the choose your own adventure books from childhood, you would get to the end of a page and decide will you go down path A or B. Eventually these choices would give you a unique story dependent on your choices. Well, Australian company StartVR has created VR Noir and taken this idea and built it into a short detective thriller designed for Virtual Reality

The purpose of this article is to share with you a cool Virtual Reality Experience and also to get you thinking of where this Technology will end up taking us.

I did not know what to expect but can tell you that we were all pleasantly surprised. As the movie started we found ourselves in an office looking around, it was here that we discovered that you can interact with different objects by looking at them which acts as a nifty way of navigating through the experience.

On navigation, an outstanding idea was when you are looking at a building with your camera and you were scanning each and every window searching for your target. This is where short movies and Gaming are coming together, it was very innovative.

We also were surprised when we found ourselves talking to a prospective client and we could choose how we were to respond with another cool and intuitive menu option. You will find that the choices you make here have a big impact on how things move forward for you!

Because of the choices we made we found ourselves startled by the ending which did not follow the usual script, it was refreshing to have an ending that we did not really see coming.

Virtual Reality is really changing how content is being produced. StartVR are just scratching the surface of what will come down the track. Short and long movies such as this will become more complex and entertaining as this technology matures and becomes the norm.

I would recommend downloading this, going through it a few times and then keeping an eye on what the Guys and Gals at StartVR create moving forward. You can download the experience here.

Queen Bohemian Rhapsody in VR is Mindblowing

Bohemiam Rhapsody VR

Queens Bohemian Rhapsody in VR is the most amazing thing I have seen in my Google Cardboard Headset. During my first watching I had goosebumps and I also had them on the second and third watch!

I rate this the best film clip I have ever seen.

To see a little insight on how they put this together check out the video below:

The song Bohemian Rhapsody is simply timeless, everybody knows it. When I saw that this song had been turned into a Virtual Reality Experience it had me hooked right away.

When I put the Headset on my jaw dropped, I was floating in some sort of nothingness and a big eye sucked me in. All of a sudden I was in front of a fantastic stage watching Freddy Mercury on his Piano, Balloons, worlds floating by. Before you know it, you are transported into another scene, then another.

I found myself spinning around trying to catch everything which after watching this 3 times I am nowhere near. I recommend standing in a spacious area when watching this.

One of the best moments was when I found myself on stage, Freddy was on the screens and I could not see him anywhere else. I turned around then found myself looking at a packed house at Wembley Stadium I presume with big balloons floating up into the air. This was a breathtaking scene.

The creators of this also have found a way of representing the music in a physical way with sound coming off the guitars and the occasional note flying through the air.

The colours in this Virtual Reality Experience were extremely vivid but so perfect, this is truly a 360 experience and must be watched many times to fully take in everything. I rate this the best film clip I have ever seen. I thank Queen, Google and Enosis VR for creating this masterpiece, Bohemian Rhapsody in VR!

Google Daydream Virtual Reality

Google Daydream is Googles next foray into the Virtual Reality World. AustechVR understands that Google will still push ahead with the Google Cardboard Apps but are rolling out the higher end Daydream Headset with platform.

A couple of points of interest! From Android N and onwards phones will be built with Daydream in mind and will feature VR Mode built into the core of the phone! This is a big step in the world of Virtual Reality.

Google Daydream will have a comfortable VR Viewer with Controller and will also have a purpose built and intuitive interface for you to operate your favourite Apps from.

//

Our sources tell us that Daydream should roll out on the 4th October 2016 so not long to go.

Google are customising a YouTube experience for daydream and with so many 360 video’s available now and that number exploding this is a massive step.  Youtube has the largest collection of VR Video’s on the planet at the moment so this will become a favorite App on Daydream.

This new version of Youtube that has been built from the ground up will be of great interest to all VR fans!

The Daydream will also be different from the Google Cardboard App where you currently load the App then slide it into your Headset, everything will be done via the Daydream Menu with your phone docked into the Daydream Headset.

Our sources tell us that Daydream should roll out on the 4th October 2016 so not long to go.

The range of Apps that will be integrated into Daydream seem to be high-end as well. Companies like<a href="http://www.mlb click site.com”> MLB.com (Major League Baseball), NBA, CNN, Netflix, WSJ, Hulu and HBO (Although us Aussies will not be able to watch Hulu and HBO) are ready to to go within Daydream!

The Google Daydream Headset and Controller

In addition to these massive companies working with Google we also have reports of Youtubers such as Justine Ezarik and the Dolan Twins have been working with Google to create new original content for the Daydream platform.

What price do we think the Daydream Headset will come in at? AustechVR think it will be around the same price as the Samsung Gear, it will be competing against this device so it is unlikely that it will be much higher in price.

Phone compatibility will be an issue early on, for example my Samsung Galaxy 6 will not be able to run Daydream. check out the video below and it will go into depth of what specs are needed to run this new exciting platform.

I bet you are as excited as we are about Daydream and cannot wait for it to drop. AustechVR will be working hard to get our hands on the new Headsets so you can experience Daydream first hand.
