The perfect place for a 360 VR masterpiece!
Knob Lakes in Alaska Sits just Northeast of Anchorage and just south of Eureka Roadhouse. A quick look at this place on Google Earth shows many glaciers, in fact there is a place just to the west of North Lakes call glacier view.
What is there to do at North Lakes, well there is a lot of rainbow trout fishing. the lakes were first stopped in 1998 with rainbow trout and continues to be a favourite fishing spot the many in Alaska during the summer I would imagine.
You can imagine the isolation and darkness in a place like this would make for a perfect environment for some star watching. William Briscoe from William Briscoe photography thought so too and captured this amazing view of our Milky Way.
You can watch the video below and spin around the sky, seeing shooting stars, amazing colours and just generally being in awe.
A quick look at William Briscoe photography’s YouTube channel shows many other awesome 360 videos including a brand new one showing the Milky Way from Eureka. this is certainly one YouTube channel you must subscribe too.
You can watch the video below and spin around the sky, seeing shooting stars, amazing colours and just generally being in awe. Or, you could use your Google Cardboard headset tilt your head back at the sky and experience or nearly experience this first hand.
I can tell you that in the Google Cardbaord headset the Milky Way has never ever look so grand. It also shows that there is so much out there in Space so much more than we could imagine.
